Simple and quick chicken recipes for camping are a must have for any busy
mom……..and about the most simple and quick way to fix chicken – camping or at home – is to prep your chicken and throw it on the grill.
There are oodles of bbq sauces, marinades and rubs available on the marked.
Plus, with the internet at your fingers, you can always make your own sauce.
I used to be all about making my own sauce for chicken. Now, it’s all about easy.
So, when I’m shopping I’m always looking for different stuff to put on my chicken before grilling.
I’ve used Italian salad dressings, assorted bottled bbq sauces and my own concoctions now and then.
Using
bottles sauces when cooking your chicken can make for some simple and quick chicken recipes for camping meals.
Tonight I used a sauce I picked up at Whole Foods.
The sauce is a spicy sauce made by Shiloh’s called Harissa.
According to the back of the bottle, it can be used many different ways. So I figured why not try it on my chicken.
I spooned some of the sauce into a bowl and added a drizzle or two of Grape Seed oil to thin it out a little. Then I smeared it all over the chicken breasts…..
.
I ended up baking in the oven tonite…….about 375 for an hour or so.
After about a half hour or so, I re-slathered the sauce all over the chicken and then turned the chicken breasts and cooked for another half hour.
The chicken turned out nice and moist with a nice spicy bite to it…………
Well, it’s about time to wrap this up……my chicken is sitting there looking all sad and lonely so I’m gonna fix me a baked potato- some salad and a nice glass of white wine…….
